Advice
Alrighty, here we go. *Sigh.* This page is entirely dedicated to all you fantastic writers who are seeking some kind of advice for your writing journey. It definitely takes a lot of time and dedication to become a writer, and us writers know that for sure. If you're thinking about writing a novel or even a short story that you want to someday publish, you can't just write it all in five minutes and expect it to be perfect. It takes a ton of planning and even sleepless nights to figure out where you'll go with your idea.
So, of course, being a writer isn't always easy. We all struggle with writer's block and so many other annoying things, but that's what makes a good writer. I've done a ton of research on the publishing process, and you must have a great understanding of it beforehand. I know that it's not going to be easy to publish a book, but I have confidence in myself that it will happen someday. And believing in yourself is key. Believing your thoughts are not worth it may not give you a good chance of being successful in your writing career. So remember to have as much confidence as possible, but don't EVER think you're better than everyone else, because even that won't make you successful.
Inspiration can come from anywhere. You could even look at a tree and wonder, "What if there was such a thing as a magic tree that could grant wishes?" and then bam, story idea. Us writers think differently than people who don't write, because we take fascination in the littlest of things and our imaginative juices are always active. So if you're thinking of writing a story but you don't know what to write about, search for inspiration around your area and you might think of something. It's also good to put yourself into the mind of your character so the reader can get a better look at their feelings and inner thoughts, so remember to use your imagination and think about what the character might feel like in a certain situation.
Coming up with a title is probably one of the hardest parts of writing a story (well for me, anyway), so to find one, you should look over your story and think about what might suit it best. You can also pick parts out of your story and use that. For example, I came up with the title "Stay Strong" when I thought over the whole plot and thought about how strong the family had to be to overcome their situation. For me, it wasn't hard, but the title for "The Other Half of Me" was extremely difficult. Sometimes you might even think of a title before you think of an idea to go with it, and that's perfectly fine. You just have to expand your ideas from then on and think about why you selected that title and what might go with it.
So I wish you the best of luck with completing your story, and I hope this advice helped you greatly. Thank you for reading! :)
